Who I Am as a Communicator

In looking at the results of the questionnaires we completed this week the one thing that was overwhelmingly compelling to me was that the majority of the results were so similar. I think the one thing that I drew from this was the authenticity of my person and that what I feel is indeed what people are perceiving/receiving from me. I think one of the things that I gained this week was still that there are some things that I could learn to be more comfortable with in terms of carrying myself in a more confident manner and exuding that to others so that I maintain this level of authenticity because that is something that is important to me. In addition, I think because of this I also gained a sense of realization about what is important to me in communication and ways that I can work on those things (like the importance of authenticity) to help support me in developing other skills that might be lacking. Communication skills are something that I believe work and support both your personal and professional life and there is little distinction except maybe in the way in which you utilize the skills that you have.
